For those who are wondering what exactly our Parent Support Group is and how money raised is spent: The BECC PSG is classified as a charitable organization. Donations to us are tax-deductible. The largest sections of our budget go to:
1) Financially assist our teachers and therapists to add to their classroom enrichment tools
2) "Field Trip" expenses: pays for special visitors like Mr. Daniel who got the kids singing and dancing last month and Officer Friendly who's set for a visit the week of Pup Strut; in the past, we've also had the Tooth Fairy, a puppet show, etc.
We also contribute financially to class parties, office and clinic supplies, teacher appreciation, graduation celebrations for students moving on to Kindergarten, and more of the like!
